Just read it, to give you an overall idea of neuroanatomy. Exams focus on the neuroanatomy part from the lectures, handouts, and basic ideas. For the functional readings, there will be questions specifically from the readings. For neuroanatomy, focus on what we covered in class. 2 cerebral hemispheres right and left: left is important for language (verbal), right for non-verbal. Abilities (this is the scientifically correct term: left is logical, right is artistic simple minded exaggerations, but some truth, though not very scientific terms. In most right handed people (98 ish %), the left handed language hemisphere is dominant (read, write) If damage right hemisphere, probably will never become shakespeare, but have everyday use of language: if you are a composer, you will have a lot of trouble. Right hemisphere takes care of things hard to phrase in words: example: face recognition. You can say the person with long hair and glasses".
