Brian goldman working in cbc- house doctor of cbc and comes on a show when something needs a medical opinion- some books. 3 ways it is relevant to why we care: related to patient outcomes. Can have effective outcomes and those translate into the patient not being optimistic about the treatment working, not being cooperative. Doctor might not provide enough information due to time constraint and patient leaves with no relief of worries and not enough information about what to do about why they came. Patient less likely to disclose information to the doctor when relationship isn"t good. Can result in wrong treatment recommendations and ineffective treatment. Affects the adherence, disclosing relevant information, might not come back and seek a second opinion or deal with the problem themselves: related to satisfaction with health care.
