Negative: the table above describes group attitudes. Positive: usually we think of conscious self-esteem, freud thinks that the action is in the unconscious self-esteem. You do not know what this is. You do not have direct access to this information: by introducing the unconscious self esteem, interesting things happen. People who have a consciously high self esteem will have positive. People who consciously have a lower self esteem will have negative attitudes about another group attitudes about another group. If you have a positive unconscious self-esteem, you think you are good and are comfortable in your skin (row 1 in the diagram: you can be open and positive to others, this is a genuine positive. They start with psychological insecurity the irrational acting out of that insecurity that gets acted out onto other groups. The jewish community: example racism in the us, poor white people are frustrated, they choose a target to aggress they choose the black community.
