If connection lost then the spirits can come to you in dreams and cause problems w/ hunting, prosperity, etc: earth burials seen as bad thing. Purpose of mummification changes: a: spiritual connection seeing the face, b: territorial boundaries koke stone, c: source of revenue tourism.
