Polyxena is sacrificed another way (so is she sacrificed before troy or after???) Revenge tragedy in which the vengeance is not carried out by a god or demi-god it is carried out by hecuba. Polydorus (son of priam and hecuba) is dead, ghost comes from island. Was sent away so someone would survive is troy fell. When the king realized that troy was going to fall, the king polymestor killed him. Odysseus is being cowardly, won"t stand up for polyxena because he"s scared and achilles" ghost demanded her as a sacrifice. Body washes up on shore and it is polydorus. King was so arrogant he thought no one would hurt him if the body was found so he threw it oversea. Hecuba sees and asks agamemnon for a favour, wants pomymestor to be punished because he broke the code of hospitality. But agamemnon says we are in the king"s are now, he is our ally and friend now.
