Commerce 1ba3 - lecture 11 motivation practice 2. Dan ariely ted what makes us feel good about our work? . The more acknowledged our work is, the harder/ better we will work. When we put effort into work and create it ourselves, we are more proud of it even if it doesn"t look amazing because of the effort. Importance of the way the work is designed: Job design refers to the structure, content, and configuration of a person"s work tasks and roles. It is an attempt to capitalize on intrinsic motivation. The goal: identify characteristics that make some tasks more motivating than others and capture these in the design of jobs. A very well know model, all about several core job characteristics that have a certain psychological impact on workers. The psychological states induced by the nature of the job lead to certain outcomes. Several factors called moderators influence the extent to which these relationships hold true.
