The extent persistent effort is directed towards a goal: persistence, effort, direction, goal. Stems from the direct relationship between worker and task: usually self-applied. Stems from the work environment external to the task: usually applied by others. Autonomous motivation: people that are motivated by intrinsic factors, has control of their motivation. Controlled motivation: people that are motivated by extrinsic factors, motivation is controlled externally. A (cid:373)e(cid:373)(cid:271)er"s contributions to an organizations objective. Core task performance: basic required duties of a job, positive correlation with education. Citizenship performance: extra behaviors engaged in by employees, positive correlation with education. Counterproductive performance: voluntary behaviors that harm an organizations wellbeing, negative correlation with education. Basic information processing and cognitive capacity: reflects efficiency for processing information, verbal, numerical, spatial, reasoning. Ability to understand and manage feelings and emotions: more predictive of job performance. Using emotions to facilitate thinking: using emotions in functional ways. Understanding emotions and signals conveyed: how others are influenced by various emotions.
