Referred to by diferent names in diferent parts of the world. Require a water temperature of at least 26deg. Eye: region in the centre with light winds and clear to partly cloudy skies. Eyewall: ring of intense thunderstorms that whirl directly around the eye. Spiral rain bands: ring of tall clouds and heavy rain that exist throughout the hurricane.
