Objective trees are tools that help select a good design. Problem statements are short (one, two, or three sentences) paragraphs defining who you are working for, what the problem is you are addressing and what broadly you are trying to create. The problem is that the client has great difficulty handling small objects such as buttons, utensils, etc. because of limited mobility of his right hand. We will address the issue of cutting and buttering with a knife with a low cost device. It will have the function of allowing the client to manipulate his hand to utilize a knife with the objective of being as economic and efficient as possible.
