Dynamical systems approach refers to the branch of ecological theory that deals with motor control and coordination. Now we move on to that branch deals with how the perception of environmental events are linked (directly) to specific actions. Further, we now explore these issues from the perspective of the development of these perceptual systems. Perception and motor systems co-evolve (not necessarily at the same rate but develop together, not in isolation) Alhtouhg diff enviro events may have diff meanings, differences in physical characteristics of an object gives rise to diff behaviours. Possibilities and is itself created by ongoing actions. Affordance meaning thus refers to any and all potential acts afforded to an organism by the object and event in its enviro. Action- relevant object properties are represented automatically during perception of the object. Shape, physical elements, environment tell you what it can be used for.
