Accounts for 4% of all gynecologic cancers and 1% of all cancers in women. Vulvar cancer is a cancer that primarily affects elder women. More than half of vulvar cancer cases occur in women over the age of 70 years. Women under 40 are also often affected by this cancer. This is a cancer that only occurs in women. The vulva is made up several major components including; the labia majora, labia minora, the clitoris and the vestibule. The vestibule is a triangular space bound between the labia majora, labia minora and clitoris. The vestibule is located anterior to the vaginal opening and contains the opening of the female urethra.
