Document Summary

There is a right holder who is entitled to certain treatment. There is a duty bearer who must allow the right holder to receive the treatment they are. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of a person. No one shall be held slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms. No one shall be subjected to torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. It may be true that if a state protects people"s rights then it may protect them. When state governments try to govern us in a way that"s good for us the reasoning only goes as follows. The aim of the government is to make the people as happy as possible. States try to make rules that they think will make as many of their citizens as happy as possible.
