Information processing model if we do care about the information that we are receiving, we need to encode it and store it, so it goes into our long-term memory, therefore later on we may be able to retrieve it. Anything and everything, going into the sensory memory. Some of this is important, so we select it for our short term. Short term memory can be used to store information permanently, using some sort of strategy to be able to store it in our long term memory. In long term memory, there are techniques for processing new information working memory. In ltm, information needed to comprehend new information. When we are very young, we are limited in our ltm, and we"re not very good at working information into our system. Memory improves with age: huge leaps in the ability to remember information even in the, mobile studies (rovee-collier) string attached to foot, first several months of life attached to mobile.
