(this is very high) 1998: psychiatric hospital admissions: 1: probably closer to what we might see in the population these days. 1990 (winipeg): lifetime = 11. 2: dissociative amnesia = 7, did = 1. 3, depersonalization: 2. 4% Dsm-5: u. s sample (did annual) = 1. 5: looking at something like 1% (for both annual and lifetime, males in this = 1. 6% and females = 1. 4% (about an equal proportion) Do not believe in dissociation: only repression: you could push unacceptable content out of consciousness but it does not end up in some other form of consciousness.
