Social cognition: face recognition, emotion processing, anterior cingulate, dorsomedial prefrontal cortex o orbitofrontal cortex, lateral prefrontal cortex, fusiform face area (ffa, not used by individuals but utilized by typically developing individuals o superior. Language and communication o wernicke"s area: deciding what is and what we are going to say o broca"s area, involved in creating the muscle movements that generate the sounds of what we want to say. Motor behaviour and coordination: gait, posture, reflex activation, etc. o motor cortex, responsible for motor behaviour o premotor cortex, motor behaviour and coordination o cerebellum, smooth out motor movements. Findings inconsistent: some studies find differences in a brain area, some do not, they tell us that there are different causes. All differences seen as asd deficits: if a brain area is smaller, bigger, etc. It is seen as a deficiency: it may just be an adaptation. Language areas: reduced activity between areas during language processing.
