Document Summary
Observable, reliable and repeatable data is the only data we can use. Every psy(cid:272)hologist i(cid:374) today"s psy(cid:272)hology is a (cid:373)ethodologi(cid:272)al (cid:271)ehaviourist. We (cid:272)a(cid:374)"t talk a(cid:271)out (cid:374)o(cid:374) observable states of mind. Just need a catalogue of what stimuli leads to what behaviours or reactions. Dramatically changed the way the mind was thought about. Really made people stop and think about what an amazing thing the mind really is. Mind was thought of as an information processing symptom. The mind was also starting to be acknowledged as an extremely complex structure, which even to this day we do not completely understand how it functions. Short term memory, long term memory, sensory memory. Still the most dominant model of memory. Gave us a tool to understand the process of memory. Both theorists are still alive today, and are still producing works that are being currently published.
