Motivation: agreed with freud that behaviour powered by instinctual energy, but viewed the nature of that energy differently, also libido, but did not see libido as exclusively or primarily sexual. Life freud, it is the depths of the unconscious, contents and mechanisms that are the hypothetical constructs representing the forces of the biological side of personality. Biological foundation of mind: these instincts shape our conscious life in ways. Individuation: becoming aware of the parts of the psyche, and various archetypes. Introversion: focus on inner world (subjective world: extroversion: focus on outside world, rational. In both cases, the unconscious takes on the opposite orientation as a sort of compensation. Thinking - judging and evaluating things we experience/sense inside/outside. Feeling - judging and evaluating the emotion being experienced. Introvert you experience own feelings, extrovert you experience others feelings: non-rational, don"t involve evaluating, functions . Sensing - detecting the presence of something, since independent of logical thought.
