Reward model: were most likely to be friends, date, and be around people who, someone who is rewarding makes us feel good are rewarding to us. How to find these rewarding people: propinquity physical proximity; probably people you"ve met because of where you"ve sat in class, for example. Factors affecting attraction to potentially rewarding people: attractiveness, reciprocation, similarity. 2 floors of 5 apartments each, and the apartments are going to get different forms of traffic. Westgate results: 1 door down 42, 4x more likely to be friends with the person next door, than the person 88 ft away. The people who lived in certain rooms had more friends (1, 5 and 7) Because they had a lot of people constantly passing their doors. Across the 17 buildings, people were most likely to be friends with people who were in close buildings to them. Recruited 4 women slightly-above average nice looking. Repeated contact people (pre-rated) attended 15 class.
