He was against village culture though cuz of the superstitions and stuff surrounding the culture. He believed islam should be emancipated from traditions (ex. get rid of superstitions and stuff) You can"t define your thoughts and actions into different things. He talks of the importance of aqida- creed. For him, aqida is not just theology, not just belief, its also a matter of action. Aqida can transform inactive beings into goal oriented, committed beings. Aqida is a hidden power, frees people from atheism and that kinda stuff. spiritual freedom, social freedom, intellectual freedom, etc.
