Fundamentalist see globalization as an opportunity to build a universal relig identity. Very literalist approach (not all fundamentalists are of course like this) Salafi, tahrir (they belive in islamic caliphate), and tablighi presence on campus. Tablighi are apolitical. (no political agenda, no islamic state or anything, all they wanna do is make muslims better muslims). Their movement is to revive islam within the. What these movements have done is to reduce religion to a code of laws. It means to declare somebody else as a non-muslim, as a kaafir. Fundamentalists have globalized their movements through the internet and print media. They have a bipolar view of comsic struggle between armies of god and satan. Re islamize is a process of drawing new lines. It will create new environment conducive to islamic lifestyle ex. Hijab, beard, implementation of law at least in one"s daily life. Some of them have encouraged muslims not to participate in the political process.
