I have no doubt that the earth is flat just take a look at the horizon, for crying out loud! . 3 components of attitudes: cognitions - you"re mental awareness on the object. An attitude is based on cognitions: evaluations - how you feel about the object, behavioural disposition - how you act/ what you do based off of your feelings for the object. Attitude on downtown hamilton (the object), that it is dangerous - the object here is being evaluated. Behavioural dis position is what you do about it, ex. to avoid downtown. Cognition-based attitudes : more reasoned and logical. Beer commercials are usually beach-based, good-looking people drinking it and that brand of beers becomes associated with what happens around it in the commercial: observational learning, agents of socialization.
