Experiences of deviants will be different depending on whether they are loners or participate as members of a deviant subculture. Subcultures solitary or isolated deviants interact with others, but keep their deviance hidden or a secret. Examples: nudists, biker gangs, white supremacists, sadomasochists, drug subculture, prostitutes. Cyber communities a hybrid form connected with the rise of the internet loners act on their own, but connect anonymously with others like them online offer chat rooms, discussion lists, message boards for those seeking support and/or advice. Examples: pro-ana (anorexia) and pro-mia (bulimia) sites, sites for pedophiles ( boychat ), self-injurers, computer hackers etc. Prescription drug users some obtained on the black market. 0thers obtained their drugs through doctors (feigned problems with concentration, learning disabilities or mood problems) came up with cover stories for their frequent visits to doctors. Once a month i say something like: i have to get my teeth cleaned.
