Among her parents generations, the sex life of young people were done in the context of a dating kind of relationship. Seen a shift, now hooking up is the thing. Seeing variation, young people in college and university. Hooking up changes after university where then dating becomes more usual. An example in variation in sexual practice, highlighting the idea that is sexuality is socially constructed varying over place. Very difficult to get precise statistics on sexual orientation. This is because everyone has different views (not all people who are homosexual, but would not consider it as that. Example: men referred to jail sex, but don"t identify as being gay, giving it their own meaning. Women"s movement unfolding in three ways: two kinds of feminists. Suffrage vote, equal education rights and advocating for women"s economic involvement. Maternal feminists: better social services for children (moral guardians of society). Women were naturally more superior that men because they were caregiving.
