Secondary socialization: outside of the home (schools, friends, peers, teachers/ jobs, certain ways of acting) Anticipatory socialization: before you enter the sphere we anticipate what role we are going to be in (new parents, new teachers or grad students) Developmental theory: timing and sequencing o physical/psychological development in early childhood (symbolic internationalism)
