((in the study where several children died because of no attachment) She lacked some of the social learning theory, she lacked instrumental conditioning (operant condition), the process in which someone learns the right response in order to get a positive or negative reinforcement. (big bang theory example: Sheldon offers penny chocolate as positive reinforcement for whatever he see"s a proper behaviour) Confined to room and specific situations (e. g. feeding) Key processes identified by social learning theory absent. Shaping: gradually increase correspondence between the learner"s behavior and the desired response. Observational learning: genie"s isolation meant that she had very little opportunity to observe even basic behaviours, or more complex behavioural patterns (e. g. dressing) One exception to genie having no interaction, and that was negative.
