Terms and images of weakness over any sort of strength. Largely about how frail, fragile, incapable they are in relation to stereotypes about men. Women as expressive, responding to environment, caring, nurturing, certain body type live up to certain standards. Culture tells women how they should look. Supposed to appear a certain way physically. We call them healthy but more often so beautiful . Critics: stereotypes that apply to men are much more positive internal as well but are still problematic. Deeper problem: stereotypes of women always pitched in relation to lesser than man, weaker than man, more emotional than man in problematic ways lowered in relation to man. Depend on a culture to declare them meritable.
