Advantages: supervision, cheaper/faster compared to in person, access to secure building, high response rate, flexible probe questions. Disadvantages: selection bias, people will only stay on the phone for so long, busy schedule, resistant to answer (hangs up immediately: types of questions: Open (fill in the blank) or closed (multiple choice) Format of the questions is important to ensure the data collected is of good quality.
