Stuff like the trojan war or the great greek heros. Eventually once we get into the roman imperial period they introduce tragedies in everyday context (ex. Plays that talk about modern athenian society and doing so in a way to point out problems and social issues: ex. Plays with a governing body that consisted of birds rather than people or the women would take over the administration and refuse to have sex with their husbands until they resolve problems in society. About family, life in the family, relations of the family to other families. Focus on comedy because this is what came first to the romans. From old and new comedy- new comedy more popular.
