Real women- responded to those women who did not feel included in women"s movement organizaion. Real women organizaion argues against protecing the tradiional role of women within the family-e. g. against aborion rights and same sex marriage. Gender mainstreaming thinking about how any policy given will afect women diferently than it will afect men. 1995 was a criical moment for this strategy. Status of women canada: established 1971 , versions exist at provincial level, mandate: assess and report on impact of policy on women, provides funding of women"s organizaions. Argument: gender mainstreaming isn"t working in canada because of the lack of policies because: the gov"t is asking these groups to do too much with litle resources, there has been a lot of cuts in gov"t funding.
