Function: impulse control, judgement, language, memory, motor function, problem solving, sexual behavior, socialization and spontaneity. Function: controls the right side of the body. Location: middle of the brain located between the cerebral cortex and the midbrain. Function: works to correlate several important processes, including consciousness, sleep, and sensory interpretation. Function: controls the pituitary gland and also regulates homeostasis (hunger, thirst, body temperature, and the like) Location: connects the cerebrum with the spinal cord.
