Organizing and outlining: sequential (step-by-step, chronological, general to specific, cause and effect, theme. Outline: shows how to arrange ideas. Overcoming writers block: start early, plan, use a computer, talk it out, skip around, revise later, take breaks, limit distractions, practice freewriting, adopt a positive attitude. Writing under pressure: budget your time, plan the structure, remember your reader, start with the easy parts and revise later-or not! Revising and editing: print the draft out, read slowly, read the draft aloud, change onscreen font size or type, make multiple passes, remember your reader. Three steps: edit for completeness, tighten up structure, proofread for. Take a turn and pass it on.
