Mothers are expected to be superwoman they have a hard time balancing work with life because they want to excel in both areas and often end up working a double shift. Because of their gender there a certain roles they are expected to take on. There is debate about which type of mothering is the best kind of mothering. A majority of canadian families need the income of the mother to remain financially stable, therefore mothers are moving more towards the role of provider. The lack of time that mothers have is one of their greatest sources of stress it"s very hard for them to maintain a work life balance and dealing with the pressures of getting everything done. Women have been taught from early on how to be organized and create schedules which is helpful for maintaining balance in the household but is not meet all the needs of parenthood.
