To describe prevention, early identification, and early childhood learning and care programs as an integrated early intervention system. To identify risk factors and protective factors for healthy development. Early intervention refers to the delivery of a coordinated and comprehensive set of specialized services to young children within a comprehensive early childhood. Merging policy initiatives with our knowledge of developmental process is the key to accelerating progress in the development of comprehensive early intervention systems. Health and medical screening: prenatal, postnatal. Post-natal home visits (public health nurse or culturally appropriate agent) e. g. healthy babies, healthy children. Developmental screening: nipissing district developmental screen, ages and stages questionnaire (asq, preschool speech and language, blind-low vision screening. September 29, 2016: 18-month well baby screen. Assessment of family stressors and needs: assess family stressors stemming from both child and family characteristics which influence family patterns of interaction, listen to family"s values, priorities and needs.
