It is communication that does not use words but takes place through gestures, facial expression, eye contact, and posture. Repetition: repeat a message that is delivered verbally in the same interaction. Contradiction: conflict with the message an individual is trying to convey, verbally, resulting in mixed message and additional challenges for the decoder. Regulation: e. g. tapping a person on the shoulder to initiate a conversation.
