Electric car has been around since 19th c, 1899 but now we still can"t really make it take off. Invention it isn"t the same as propelling it to success. No such thing as an original idea, just do something. Tell others your idea to get feedback to make it better. Ideas can come from your previous job, trends (pest or cdstep), solving a problem, or finding gaps in the market (create new offering, eg curves gym) The longer you work, the deeper you know things/ the more you know about diverse aspects. Prior knowledge of ways to serve markets. You don"t get any prior knowledge until you actually do it. Convergence = alertness to opportunities when fun/job cross paths, easier to spot opportunities. Social networks: strong ties (family, friends) = more investment of your time, weak ties (friends of friends, acquaintances) **each useful at different stages/different measures of success.
