Carrie represents the uncanny she has supressed (concealed) her power. She knows but she doesn"t know; her power is both unfamiliar and familiar to her. Blood is associated with horror & female power. People just know that carrie is the reason for the disaster. It"s uncanny that people know that carrie did it. P30 onset of menstruaton comes with the onset of her powers; remembers the incident of the stones after the period incident; menstruaton kicks in and tk ignites. Like the memory of the stones, the knowledge of menstruaton seemed to always have been there, blocked but waitng . I"ll make the stones come again uses her power as a threat. The greatest kind of horror comes from everything civilizaton has suppressed (hidden/concealed); moral tale of treat others the way you want to be treated . Carrie"s act of vengeance comes from the many tmes she was treated poorly.
