The us lead a coalition of mainly european capitalist nations that opposed the spread of the communist socio-political system and cooperated both militarily and economically. The soviet union lead a group of eastern european countries who shared centralized government structures and socialist methods of production. From the end of wwii until the liberal ideals became the socio- political model for both, capitalist and communist societies around the world. Both sides of the ideological divide implemented policies that created safety nets for individual members of society minimum wage, social security services etc. Under the philosophical umbrella of liberalism there was a global consensus of improving gender inequality. Both capitalists and communists societies struggled to achieve more inclusive societies more inclusive societies. Relative global peace fostered population and economic growth. Increase the production and expenditure on consumable goods.
