So strong, it can be very fine and retain strength. No space for water or air to get through. Carpet fibres will spring back (even when walked on) Durable, excellent abrasion resistance, resistance to insects, can be heat set (improving compressional resiliency) When released, a suit made from polyester was worn for 67 days in a row. Retain the look of fibre it is being blended with. Cotton-poly blends will look like cotton on its own. Hard to remove stains (won"t absorb water and detergent as well) Can be recycled into carpeting or apparel fabrics. Can now recycles 2. 5 billion pet bottles annually. Inherently elastic polyester fibre (does not need spandex) Low moisture ability but will move moisture away from the skin. Ideal for sports wear, allows heat to escape. Difficult to remove oil based stains, water based stains are not an issue (hydrophobic) Cant use stain removers that are solvent based.
