Our parents as adolescents are diferent from preschoolers and toddlers. Recognizes the importance of early child development and the temporal (ime speciic; how ime can predict the future experiences) dimension of health and aging. Recognizes that past and present experiences are shaped by wider social, economic, and cultural context. Predictors for how we live our lives, set of experiences allows for childhood to adulthood transiion. Interdisciplinary perspecive: looks at interacion between social change, history, individual psychological development, aging. Used to study health and health behavior across the life span in many disciplines: child development, public health, medicine, nutriion, sociology, educaion. The aim of the family life cycle is to provide a developmental approach of the life cycles in families.
