We need to be familiar with certain things. They are linear channels of movement, for ex. Edges lines used as boundary of movement ex. Nodes -- interchange of different modes of transportation, for ex, coach bus, taxi, bikes, ttc. Often called the central location or the hub. Landmarks are often shown by point features or symbols, that are iconic features ex. Nodes - point features that can be entered and form foci. Landmarks - point features usually not entered but highly visible. Districts - areas with an identifiable, homogenous character.
