Women taking care of the children; therefore women weren t able to join regular workspace. This started to change late 1950/early 1960, which is when women entered workplace. People move to city for proximity, since everything in the city is close-by. City space is limited with boundaries; there s lots of competition to find your space in the city. Capitalizing on the space available within the city. Building a condo, you re able to accommodate 100 s of families vs. a house which only accommodates 1 house. It s a relative concept as it depends on technology that s available - in the 1820s they didn t have the technology / knowledge to capitalize and build condos. Least tangible space - has nothing to with anything you can feel / attach. Residents have feeling associated with the spaces (attachment / distance) People oppose against projects that happen around the space.
