Document Summary
Mccain foods limited is held as canada"s 30th largest privately-owned business that now has plans of moving its brand abroad. As well as the their low annual per capital consumption is 100 grams which is not as high as canadian consumption of over 13 kilograms. However, if the company chooses to expand in the asian market, it must consider that its products can not be used in traditional dishes. Asian cultures don"t heavy rely on potato based products, or fried foods. Mccain will have to market and advertise to the asian community to increase their product"s popularity. Another potential risk can be political for example, the potential loss in value of a foreign investment because of instability or changes in the chinese market. China engages in a politically influenced environment; legal security is at an all-time low, and the company must be prepared to change its policies and regulations in china and make new ones.
