Not-invented-here syndrome when an outsider comes in and changes things up. a group of people who work interdependently toward some purpose. Environmental stimuli: feeling, hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting; selective attention and emotional marker response (what you want to see; unexpected things; if delivery is boring, we ignore it) If someone thinks you"re not good enough, soon you"re going to think that too. Your message and how it is received and encoded. Reward power pay, feedback affect awards; whomever that have the ability to hand out the reward. Legitimate power title was handed to you. Countervailing power the weaker party has some power. Visibility: increases with facetime, display of power symbols. Discretion: the freedom to exercise judgement; following the rules/bending the rules on occasion.
