Battery- law used to protect the person. Assaut - used to keep peace since it has to be seen coming. Trespass to land - to protect land owners. You do not people to go on your property unless authorized. But you also have to allow those who are lawfully allowed like policemen to go on to your land. You need to remember just to use the facts that are needed, since other facts a given just as fillers. Need a legal test, the law that was broken. Last step is to check if all facts meet the criteria of the law test. Lastly you need to consider possible defense. Defences to intentional torts: complete and partial. Again same as before there are different levels of intent. The lowest being the intent to act and, The higher level being the intent to harm.
