This class will discuss this last period that unions go through. Imperfections in bargaining (inability to address all issues adequately/clearly, lack of shared understandings) Important rule: no industrial action (strikes/lockouts) during term of ca (stick law that forbids this) What formal mechanisms exist for dealing with (contractual) rights disputes, within ongoing employment relations, in a non-union environment? (basically what is available for non-union workers who have rights disputes) For eg. you make an agreement with er, but the er do not stick to this agreement. You cannot go anywhere, no courts and no procedures in place to help you.
