Balancing principles & values: sometimes different reasons point in the same direction, ex. When telling the truth to the police helps them catch a criminal: but sometimes, the relevant principles & values are in tension, pointing in different directions, ex. Reading a friend"s e-mail might let you figure out why they seem depressed.
