Injuries, fractures, or trauma inconsistent with reported cause: multiple injuries involving head, face, neck, breast, abdomen, and genitalia, abrasions, lacerations bruises, or welts, burns and human bite marks, old and new fractures on x-rays. 12-14 age difference of no more than two years can consent to sexual activity for neglected and abused children. If you suspect a child is maltreated involve members of the health care team who have experience in this area.
