Contextual: overall, sensitizes us to the relational complexities and transactions that affect what happens at point of care, enables us to intentionally act, inquiry as a form of action, focuses on the how to of a relational consciousness. Incongruent with relational complexities that are part of contemporary nursing. Insufficient in understanding these complexities: schools nurses to discount emotions and fault self, a relational approach. 3: engaging as a relational inquirer, relating with curiosity, relating to complexity and uncertainty, relating to vulnerability. Phenomenology (sholl, 2015: moves beyond (and augments) the biological, pathological, objective/neutral, third- person perspective of naturalism that excludes first person experiences, conceptualizes the person as a subjective embodied being or lived body that is altered through illness.
