In order to remember this level of doubt is to imagine this evil deceiver who is trying to deceive me in each case. If i"m acively engaged in doubing the status of my own experiences, surely i couldn"t fail to be aware of myself as doubing. The claim is that i found something that not even the most radical doubt can put it into quesion. When i think i cant help airming that i exist. Even if i was part of someone"s dream, there is a part of me that entertains that i am actually not in someone"s dreams. If im doubing, my doubing actually exists which is something that cannot be doubted. The fact that i am thinking is not able to be doubted. In meditaion 2, the main quesion is what is this i He is trying to build stability in his mental life.
