John watson (1878-1958: american psychologist, examined the development of fear. Stimulus generalization similar stimuli elicits response. Biological preparedness conditioning is most likely to occur when it benefits survival. Law of effect a behavior that results in reward will be more likely to occur again in the future. Operant conditioning - learning that occurs when a behavior is followed by a reinforcement or a punishment. Positive adds something and negative removes something.
